Occasionally we produce bars with bubbles or bumps, nicked corners, or some other irregularity. These "imperfections" are purely aesthetic variations in an otherwise perfectly formulated bar. Although they may not be acceptable to our private label clients, we like to think we can find them a good home by offering them at a very low price to you, reducing waste in the process.


Comes as a set of 3, 5, or 10 randomly pulled. You may include any preferences in a note with your order, and we will do our best to fulfill your requests based on availability (e.g., "I like lavender scent but prefer to avoid patchouli" or "As many charcoal bars as possible!"). Photos offer an example of the types of bars and imperfections.


In the studio, we call these our "wabi-sabi" bars. Wabi-Sabi (not to be confused with Wasabi!) is the Japanese concept that there is beauty in the nature of things imperfect and impermanent. These soaps capture this ideal in every sense.

You'll receive a random sampling of "imperfect" bars. These soaps are the same high-end formulas we sell to our private-label wholesale clients, but they don't meet the aesthetic standard, meaning they are odd-shaped, have a dinged corner, or have some other visible flaw. It happens! Lucky for you, it's a chance to get a bar of quality organic soap for a fraction of the retail price. They all look the same after a few washes, anyway. ; ) 

Most bars are 4-5 oz in size. Ingredients vary, but all bars are organic and use only essential oils, if scented (unscented soaps are available). Most contain coconut oil, shea butter, and olive oil. Some contain palm oil. Some contain goat milk and/or honey; if you have vegan preferences, please leave a note with your order or email us at [email protected].
